Data Architect

Experience

1. Multiple years of hands-on experience working as a data architect on AWS (or) Azure cloud ecosystems.
2. Experience in designing and implementing data solutions on the AWS cloud platform, including services such as AWS Redshift, AWS S3, and AWS RDS

(or)

Experience in designing and implementing data solutions on Azure cloud platforms, including services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to define data architecture requirements and align them with business objectives.
2. Designing & and implementing the organization’s data architecture, including data models, data flows, and data storage solutions.
3. Evaluate and select appropriate cloud data services, technologies, and tools.
4. Design and implement data integration pipelines and ETL processes on the cloud.
5. Monitor and optimize data integration performance.
6. Need to have a strong background in data management, database design, and programming.
7. Implement data storage and data processing solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
8. Ensure data security controls and access policies are in place and enforced.
9. Collaborate with the security team to implement cloud data security measures.
10. Participate in data compliance assessments and audits.
11. Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud data architecture, data flows, and data governance processes.
12. Providing technical guidance and support to other teams and stakeholders to ensure that they can effectively use and manage
13. Ensure accurate metadata management and data dictionary documentation.
14. Proficiency in data governance tools and platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Atlan) is preferred
15. Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards within the cloud environment.
16. Establish data quality rules, classifications, and data lineage in alignment with data governance best practices.
17. Configure and maintain data governance tools and platforms on the cloud.
18. Experience in designing and implementing data solutions on the Snowflake cloud platform, including data modeling, data flow, and data storage solutions.

 Preferred certifications

1. AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect and AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, are preferred.
2. Snowflake certifications, such as SnowPro Core and SnowPro Advanced, are preferred.
3. Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Azure Data Engineer Associate, are preferred.
