Quick overview

  • Client: A global QSR
  • Technology used: AWS cloud data stack
  • Goal: Create consistent leadership verification and give the company a clear view of shift-level performance across all locations.
  • Challenge: Verification processes were scattered, tracking was manual, and leadership standards were not consistent.
  • Solution: Wavicle created a centralized Leadership Verification Insights platform with role-based access, built on AWS, in just 6 months.

Challenges

The QSR operates worldwide and relies on shift leaders to maintain brand standards and keep operations on track. But verification methods differed by market and ownership groups.

The main issues included:

  • Manual tracking processes consume thousands of consultant hours annually
  • Fragmented reporting tools with no centralized enterprise view
  • Inconsistent KPI definitions across regions
  • Limited ability to benchmark performance across markets
  • Reactive coaching due to the delayed identification of recurring gaps
  • Increased brand risk due to uneven execution standards

Since there was no single system, the company could not consistently measure or confirm leadership readiness.

Solution

Wavicle built a Leadership Verification Insights platform for the QSR in six months. This solution brought together data from different sources, set standard KPI definitions, and gave useful performance insights at every level.

The platform was built in phased stages:

  • KPI standardization: Wavicle partnered with business and operations teams to agree on clear definitions for pre-shift, in-shift, and post-shift verification metrics.
  • Data consolidation: Verification data from different sources was combined and processed using Talend and SQL. AWS services such as Aurora MySQL, SQL Server on EC2, and S3 helped build data models ready for analytics and scalable as needed.
  • Architecture development: A secure cloud-based data system was set up to support performance tracking across the company.
  • Dashboard development: Dashboards were created for different roles, giving managers, consultants, and executives the specific information they need.
  • Validation and rollout: The solution was tested, confirmed to work, and then launched worldwide with a plan to help teams start using it.

By positioning the implementation as a behavioral accountability system rather than only a reporting tool, Wavicle ensured the solution drove effective leadership actions and reinforced organizational standards.

Results

Wavicle’s platform changed the way QSRs manage shift readiness across thousands of locations.

The platform:

  • Eliminated thousands of annual manual tracking hours
  • Enabled enterprise-wide visibility across tens of thousands of locations
  • Cut gap identification time by over 50%
  • Increased verification completion rates
  • Strengthened compliance adherence across markets
  • Improved consultant efficiency and coaching effectiveness
Metric Before After Impact
Tracking process Manual, fragmented Automated, centralized Significant efficiency gains
Performance visibility Regional and inconsistent Global, role-based Single source of truth
Gap identification Reactive >50% faster Proactive coaching
Leadership consistency Variable Standardized framework Reduced brand risk

The QSR now has a scalable system that improves accountability, protects customer experience, and maintains high operational standards worldwide.

Next Steps

With Wavicle’s help, the QSR plans to add predictive risk modeling, AI‑assisted interpretive insights, and expanded analysis of qualitative verification content such as free‑text and unscored questions.
